The Cappers Act of 1571, in an effort to bolster the English wool industry, decreed that all non-noble men over the age of six must wear a wool cap, made by a member of the Cappers Guild, and constructed of English wool. For a time, women were required to wear one as well.

This beautiful hat would fit perfectly with any middle to working class garb. Made of a soft, creamy white wool, with a blue and red shot silk hat band and a jaunty ostrich feather.  Size Medium
